The Curriculum

The broad curriculum can be tailored to suit individual pupils’ needs and abilities. Good results are achieved each year at both GCSE and A-level.

Games & The Arts

Educating the pupils ‘in the round , the wider curriculum boasts over 100 weekly activities for both boarders and day pupils, from rowing and sailing to debating and climbing, there’s something for everyone.

Pastoral Care

All pupils (including day pupils) are allocated to one of eleven houses. Boarders are integrated with day pupils ensuring all pupils benefit from the wide range of opportunities available to them. A very successful ‘buddy’ system is in place for new pupils and each house has a Housemaster/mistress plus two assistants and a matron.

University Places

Almost all pupils go on to their first choice university.

Head Teacher’s Philosophy

School is not merely a preparation for life, it is life itself. Our pupils’ lives are full of challenges, choices and prospects in a school large enough to offer breadth of opportunity but small enough for each pupil to be known individually.

Outstanding Characteristics

  • A unique location within the university city of Cambridge
  • A real ‘campus’ feel, 5 minutes from the city centre, on the banks of the River Cam
  • The only co-educational boarding and day school in Cambridge
