The Curriculum

Swanbourne House is a non-selective school and yet our pupils achieve great academic success. The teachers challenge and develop our children, responding to their individual needs and helping them explore their talents to their fullest potential.

Games & The Arts

Sport is an important part of Swanbourne school life with PE in the curriculum and Games each day in the Prep. From the earliest years, music has a place in the classroom at Swanbourne House and the children are given opportunities to perform in plays from the Pre-Prep upwards.

Pastoral Care

There is a strong sense of family underpinning school life at Swanbourne House. Parents and teachers work together for the development of the children under the leadership of the Head. Pastoral care and the happiness of each child are at the forefront of all that the school stands for. We teach children how to live in the community, considering each other’s needs and adopting attitudes of tolerance and support.

The school is passionate about the sort of education that helps pupils make a difference in the modern world.
