The Curriculum

In the sixth-form, our pupils will generally select three A-level subjects, in some cases a fourth may be added. Lower school pupils follow a broad and traditional syllabus.

Games & the Arts

Drama is an important feature of pupils’ experience at KPS. The school has a purpose-built theatre space with full lighting and sound equipment. In addition, we have secured extended performing arts rehearsal space within a number of nearby working theatres and neighbouring churches.

Pastoral Care

Pastoral care is central to our ethos and is delivered through experienced tutors and small tutor groups. Tutors are key figures in pupils’ lives at KPS and will be parents’ first port of call with the school for all day-to-day and pastoral matters. Parents will get to know their child’s tutor who will seek to build a meaningful professional relationship with them.

Recent University Places

A former A-level student progressed to Stanford University in 2019.

Head Teacher’s Philosophy

My benchmark of success is whether a pupil has fulfilled their potential. Through excellent teaching in small classes, a dynamic and innovative learning environment, and a pastoral system that values close collaboration, all of our students are well equipped for the challenges of the 21st century.

Outstanding Characteristics

KPS offers an intellectually exciting environment in which pupils can learn and grow, but also have fun. While our staff are rigorous in their approach to teaching and learning, they are thoroughly modern in their outlook and practice. We are a small, friendly school with excellent boarding facilities and we want you to be part of our extended family.
