Lessons take place in classrooms and outside in our stunning grounds. Traditional subjects are integrated with modern technology with subject specialist teachers. We also run a forest school. Older pupils study for Common Entrance and scholarship exams.
Games & The Arts
Games and activities take place every day. Rugby, football, hockey, cricket, netball, tennis, swimming and activities such as mountain biking take place in our grounds. Art, music and drama are all important. All children have opportunities to perform, learn instruments and be creative.
One of the real strengths of our small prep-school is pastoral care. All children are known as individuals by staff throughout the school and our family ethos is often commented on by visitors as well as past pupils. Families become part of the Great Ballard family. Recent ISI inspectors gave ‘Excellent’ for academic standard, extra curricular opportunities and the pastoral care of the children.
Scholarships this year: academic, all round and sport.
