A broad range of extra-curricular activities are an important feature of the school and make a major contribution to the personal development of the students.
Games & The Arts
Farnborough Hill’s mission to ‘educate the whole person’ means that the school has a strong tradition of excellence in music, drama, art and sport. Girls are encouraged to enjoy their sport, whether they are elite sportswomen competing at national level or girls having fun. The most recent addition is a superb music suite housing a specialist music technology teaching room and a recording studio.
The Roman Catholic tradition and Christian ethos is key to the pastoral care, the real sense of community, and the mutual respect between students and staff. Dedicated, supportive staff give plenty of support; pastoral care is a priority and is rated as ‘excellent’ by the ISI (2014).
Excellent record of girls going to their first choice university, mostly Russell Group.
Head Teacher’s Philosophy
‘I firmly believe that learning should be fun and lessons should be inspiring so that school work doesn’t become a chore. Life at Farnborough Hill is vibrant and busy; the girls are encouraged to participate in everything on offer and they become adept at balancing their studies with a variety of interests.’
Farnborough Hill is a very special place; the buildings, the history and the spectacular grounds are impressive but what makes it so special are the people. You really have to visit to see the blend of academic rigour and outstanding pastoral care that the school delivers so impressively.
