To celebrate, the school has launched a Centenary Campaign which will support two initiatives. The first, a Centenary Awards programme to raise funds for bursaries for new pupils. And secondly, a Centenary Projects fund for investing in new facilities for the school.

A memorable day was the Centenary Ball on the 27th May which invited 600 members of the Belhaven School community. The school’s pipe band, made up of more than 50 pipers and drummers from multiple generations, performed on the day. Money was raised on the via an auction of sixty lots which was donated by supporters of the school.

Headmaster, Olly Langton, said: ‘The life-changing bursaries we already provide through our new Belhaven Centenary Awards programme are a powerful way for us to share excellence and opportunity.’

‘The first three Centenary Award holders are already benefiting from transformational bursaries at the school and we hope to attract more applicants in the years to come.’

‘In addition, Belhaven’s Centenary Projects initiative will fund an inspirational digital Makerspace and a proposed Sports and Performing Arts Hub, all for sharing with the local community.  Overall, we have a very ambitious fund-raising development target of £2 million.’
