The Curriculum

We aim to produce confident and articulate life-long learners through a broad curriculum designed to keep as many avenues open as possible before A levels and the Extended Project Qualification.

Games and the Arts

The thriving Art, Dance, Drama, Music and Sports departments play a central role in the curriculum, offering pupils of all ages and starting points numerous opportunities to explore and succeed; extended by our vast co-curriculum of shows, performances and fixtures.

Pastoral Care

Alleyn’s is a happy school where kindness matters and the well-being of each individual pupil is our top priority. Form Tutors and Housemasters are at the heart of our pastoral care system and make regular contact with pupils and parents, while each section of the School has its own Head to oversee pastoral matters. Our in-house Counsellors, Learning Support specialists and Chaplain are always available for our whole community.

University Places

Students join leading universities, conservatoires and specialist learning centres worldwide.

Head Teacher’s Philosophy

When children are happy of course they do well. We are proud of the outstanding exam results our pupils achieve but we see exam results as a by-product of the rounded education – full of opportunities both academic and co-curricular – that we offer our pupils.

Outstanding Characteristics

This is a school very much at ease with itself and there is space here for our young people to try new things, discover who they are, be whoever they want to be in a highly supportive, generous community, built on trust and mutual respect.
