Former Malvern Pupil Named Schools Cricketer of the Year

Olly Cox, a former pupil at Malvern College, has won the Schools Cricketer of the Year award in the Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack.

He was awarded due to his First XI performance at Malvern College in 2022. Olly scored a total of 1,392 runs. This averages 69 runs per innings, including four centuries. 

Last June, Olly signed a professional contract with Worcestershire County Cricket Club.

Former Malvern College pupil Tom Kohler-Cadmore has also won the award in 2013. 

Mark Hardinges, Master of Cricket, said: ‘Oliver is an exceptional sportsman and this accolade not only recognises his skill as a sportsman but his commitment to a sport that he showed so much passion for during his time at Malvern.’
